FUNdamentals Basketball Camp

Our FUNdamentals camp is designed to introduce campers to the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun, energetic, and encouraging environment. Our campers will learn a strong foundation of shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, and teamwork in the first half of camp. After lunch, the older campers will work on basketball concepts such as screening, rebounding, and playing without the ball in small groups and live game environments. Thanks to our sponsors our all-day campers will enjoy lunch and be given “camp bucks” to buy treats or swag from our camp store. Our last day will be a review and celebration of what we have learned, and awards given out for various competitions throughout the week. In this camp we will encourage to not only play the game by building a strong foundation of fundamentals, but to know how to have fun while being competitive.

ATTACK THE RIM

Putting ‘em on skates!  Attack the Rim is a four-day clinic that will challenge players to be a threat every time they touch the ball.  Players will work on body position on the catch, utilizing fakes creatively and effectively, attacking off the dribble, understanding angles, when to change your attack line, and attacking in transition.  We will also highlight techniques and mechanics to finish as well as decision-making against primary and secondary defenders.  Various finishing situations will be covered from finishing from a perimeter drive to post-up opportunities.  Players will play 1-on-1, 2-on-2, and 3-on-3 to work on what is being learned in game context.
